¡Bienvenidos!
Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world and has taken great measures to preserve its rich environment. The University of Georgia’s open-air campus, nestled in the Monteverde cloud forest, fits right in with the culture of sustainability and conservation. UGACR offers a wide variety of courses, across a range of disciplines including tropical science, photography, language, business, and more. We provide plenty of recreational excursions such as coffee and chocolate tours, soaking in hot springs, sunset horseback riding, surfing, zip lining, and white-water rafting. Come study with our UGA Center, and experience Costa Rica’s hospitality and incredible beauty. ¡Pura Vida!

Courses offered:
We require each student list their top two course preferences, but please also provide alternate options, as class overlap will be inevitable (i.e. some classes will occur at the same time).

  • ENGL 3800 - Introduction to Creative Writing
  • JRLC 5990 - Environmental Communication
  • SPAN 3020 - Advanced Composition & Conversation
