Program Description:

UGA Exchange, Daito Bunka University

In 1923, Daito Bunka University (DBU) was established by Parliamentary order as an Institute for the study of the Chinese classics and the promotion of Sinology. Since then, DBU has focused on research revolving around Asian cultures, while attempting "the fusion of Western and Eastern cultures."  Our aim is to be a university where people and cultures around the world intersect, transcending borders. In 2013, DBU overcame many struggles to celebrate its 90th anniversary.  Now, DBU is beautifying its Higashi-Matsuyama campus in Saitama Prefecture, a project which will end in 2015.
