UGA Exchange, Toulouse ENSATThe ENSAT is the Graduate School of Life Sciences of Toulouse. The ENSAT is a public and national « Grande Ecole », funded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and specialized in Agriculture Science, Food Science, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development and Management. The ENSAT is a Graduate School of National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse.
France has a highly selective system of "Grandes Écoles", i.e. institutes training high level engineers, in parallel with a large network of Universities, dealing mainly with basic sciences. A large proportion of managers and executives in major companies, both private and public, come from these "Grandes Ecoles". The “Grandes Ecoles” system is characterized by highly selective recruitment, a progressive specialization and strong links with research and industry.
At the ENSAT, the staff are committed to a mission of training, research and expertise. This mission is based on the specialties of the researches involved: Food, Sustainable Agriculture, Biotechnology, Environment and Territories.
Program LocationToulouse is a lively university city which is located in the heart of a region turning towards agriculture and agro-industries. Toulouse is the second university in France: more than 110000 students go to one of the 3 universities, its institutes and National Engineering Schools.
Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, 730 km away from Paris, Toulouse is the capital city of the vast Midi-Pyrénées region and the 4th biggest city in France. With more than 700000 inhabitants and its population increasing year after year, Toulouse and its surroundings is considered among the finest metropolitan areas in Southern Europe.
Thanks to its quality of life and gastronomy, Toulouse is a city where that’s good to live and work in, a city we sing and celebrate in our own French, south-western style.
