What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
The most significant thing that I got from UGA at Oxford is confidence. I learned that I can read and write quality work regardless of the subject.

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?
Oxford is not a vacation, it is not a Junior Year Abroad. It is a hallowed place of study where you are afforded the opportunity of a lifetime to turn pages from the 16th century and walk halls where Einstein, Hawking, and even Harry Potter alike once traversed. Oxford is the most spectacular place on earth if you are willing to put in the work. If you take your time at Oxford understanding that this may be the only time that you are fortunate enough to participate as a student, an insider, rather than trying to map and plan which European country you can travel to next, you will find yourself so madly in love with the place and the material you're studying.
— Jianna Justice, Fall 2016
How did the experience impact you and your future educational/career/personal goals?
Before the UGA at Oxford program, I had had a fleeting thought about potentially getting my PhD one day, but somehow that seemed like a pipe dream that I would never achieve. Because of this program, I've been able to see that I could thrive in that environment, and I am absolutely confident in my ability to achieve my PhD.
— Rebekah Johnson, Fall 2016
How did the experience impact you and your future educational/career/personal goals?
My experience working with the grad students and my Oxford tutors completely transformed my understanding of my own capability and possibility. I will now absolutely be pursuing graduate studies and would hope to return to Oxford for a Masters or DPhil in the future.
— Jianna Justice, Fall 2016
How did the experience impact you and your future educational/career/personal goals?
It made me honestly consider getting my medical degree in the UK and then transferring it. It also made me understand that my parents are a vital component in my life and I would like to live a life when I can visit them whenever I would like.
— Yuliya Kulyomina, Fall 2016
