What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
The advice about the industry and importance of creativity from the festival will stay with me forever. Getting a first hand look at what the advertising world is about, allowed me to understand what I want to do.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
I learned a lot about French culture and myself. I was also submerged into a field in which I was previously unfamiliar with and enjoyed every experience I had at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. Talking to professionals in the advertising industry gave me an idea of who I want to be and the job I would like to have in the future. I also learned how to navigate on my own and the everyday responsibilities of taking care of yourself and doing everything that is required of you.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
I learned a lot about myself while I was in France. I had a very spiritual experience, and grew as an individual. I feel more cultured, more grounded, and more driven. Going on this trip was the best decision I have made since being a student at the University of Georgia.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
From this experience, I gained knowledge, experience and a feel for what this industry will entail. I enjoyed being among professionals in a field where I am unsure of what I'm doing. I think confidence and a feel for what I still need to do to break into the workforce is the most valuable part I gained.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
I learned that there are so many opportunities in advertising for all forms of creativity, and it really opened my eyes to the kinds of career paths that I can choose. I'm a lot less anxious now about finding a job after college.

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?
Being able to say that I've been to the Cannes festival, gets me in conversations that can lead to job offers. Whoever is seriously considering a career in the creative field needs to make an effort to get in this program.

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?
I would say that studying abroad has been one of my best decisions and it really does change your perspective of the world because you leave expecting to find yourself, only to realize how small you actually are. I loved the Cannes Lions program because the teachers made class enjoyable, help was always offered when you needed it, and it was an experience of a lifetime to explore a festival that only the greatest advertising professionals in the world are able to attend.
