Final Reflection Questions
What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
I became very close to one of my professors, and she taught me so much about life and empowered me to pursue a MPH next year. She even invited me to her home in Burgundy to spend the weekends with her family. It was incredible.

What were the most significant take-aways from your experience?
Program Testimonials
While I went to France to expand my kitchen skills and understand food science as it relates to health, I took away so much more about family life, the experience of eating together, and culture. I know I want to return and I know that I loved the atmosphere; however, traveling to France for two months reinforced my love for America, american traditions and ways of life. Both cultures can be respected and utilized and I think my greatest satisfaction was understand the faults in both while abroad. It also made me realize the powers of travel and the humility and joy it creates in peoples' hearts.

What are your words of advice to students considering this program?
Program Testimonials
Remember that it is a different country and that the teaching style and speed in which tasks are completed are different. A lot of the students on the program were demanding grades and schedules, etc...and were frustrated that the French school system is different than the American school system. I would remind students that a study abroad is an opportunity to observe differences in culture and to respect and embrace a new culture rather than force your culture on another culture.

After this study abroad, I decided that I will be applying for a MPH in Paris because I want to live in France.

How did the experience impact you and your future educational/career/personal goals?
Program Testimonials
I know I want to work more with sustainable agriculture and emphasize the from-farm-to-plate movement. I still want to help people in their journey towards healthier lifestyle and body positivity but I love to cook and I love to plant vegetables. So as of right now, I can do whatever I want by juxtaposing agriculture and cuisine with dietetics. Its new!
