The key cards to get into the UGA house was great and made me feel secure in the house. The reimbursement of the bus passes was great. It made travel very easy between the house and city center.

The house was very safe and had an effective alarm system

Kristen Joy Fikse, Summer 2017 Participant
I felt very safe in Oxford. I walked around during the day time by myself, and felt completely safe. Usually at night I'd go out with one other person, but I was never concerned about my safety in Oxford.

Hunter Lee Wallace, Summer 2017 Participant
I felt very comfortable at the UGA@Oxford center. The area surrounding the house is very nice and a short bus ride into town will get you anywhere you need to go.

Having class 4 days out of the week allowed for travel which was really great, and where I learned the most about myself. Even the weekends I stayed in Oxford, I always felt like I was learning about the environment around me while learning more about myself and my capabilities as well.

The experience you get from this trip is priceless

This program by far exceeded my expectations from a study abroad. Most programs that I had heard of involved travel and fun, but this one included those aspects while also challenging me as a student. I feel like I am a better student over all after studying there.

Don't go in with any expectations except to work hard, and you will never want to leave! Manage your time, but take every opportunity you get! You're only abroad once!

Summer 2017 Participant
Expect a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. This program will always keep you on your feet.

Oxford is an incredible place that combines a tradition of academic excellence with dedicated professors that will allow you to grow in countless ways. It's also a big privilege because very few institutions have such a healthy and longstanding relationship with Oxford as the University of Georgia.

This program was the opportunity of a lifetime! I didn't want to leave. The program helped me gain perspective and a better worldview, while also allowing me to experience cultures and traditions that I would've never been exposed to without this trip. I wish I could go back!

This is truly a transformative and unforgettable experience. If I had the opportunity to undertake this style of education as opposed to the typical US education, I would absolutely do so.

The UGA Oxford study abroad program provides students with an experience unlike any other in that one is able to acquire one of the best educational experiences possible alongside peers similar to them. This program prepared me not just for the semesters to come, but for any discipline or career that I might take part in.
